Fay McAlinden

Fay awarded Hon. Life M'ship of TSDAV

On 10th Nov. 2012, at our Portarlington Dance Weekend, we took the opportunity to confer Honorary Life Membership upon Fay McAlinden, for her services as Founding Vice President (in 1980), and for her ongoing contributions to dance.

We presented Fay with a special certificate during the Saturday night Social, and danced one of her own dances, “Round the House and Mind the Dresser” (written in 1982), to mark the occasion. Both "Round the House ..." and "Fagan's Silver Chain" (1986) were republished in the TSDAV's 2011 dance book, "A Victorian Selection - the Best of the First 25 Years"

Congratulations Fay, and 'Thank You' from all your dancing colleagues.
